Charleston loves Porgy. And so do we. So we loved the opportunity to create a 6×9 ft poster for the Gibbes Museum of Art’s exhibition, The Art of Porgy and Bess (May 28–Oct 9, 2016). Inspired by vintage playbills, the illustration design was also used as a poster, matted print, and magnet for the Gibbes Museum Store. And it recently got the honor of being recognized as the First Place winner in the poster-category for the Southeastern Museum Conference (SEMC).
